Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between deviant peer affiliation and the adolescent’s aggression among Iranian high schools students in Tehran, Iran. Aggression refers to any form of behavior directed toward the goal or injuring another living being who is motivated to avoid such treatment. Deviant peer affiliation refers to placing adolescent into settings that are populated by deviant peers. The present study was carried out among Iranian students. Number of respondents in the present study includes 200 (50%) males and 200 (50%) females from 20 high schools in Tehran, Iran. Respondents were between the ages of 16 to 18 years. Pearson correlation in this study found significant positive relationship between deviant peer affiliation and aggression.

Abstract\nObjective: To investigate the incidence of Norovirus, Rotavirus and Adenovirus in children with acute gastroenteritis admitted to emergency room of the department of pediatrics.\nMaterial and Methods: One hundred twenty six children (58 female, 68 male) with acute gastroenteritis admitted to emergency room of the Department of Pediatrics of Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of medicine, between October 2012 and February 2013. Stool samples were investigated with ELISA for all the 3 viruses mentioned above. Demographic data including age, number of siblings, recent presence of being in a crowded environment, status of vaccination have been analyzed. Symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea frequency and duration have been recorded to charts. Clinical scores were based on were compared according to viral etiology.\nResults: Rotavirus was identified in .2 of patients, adenovirus and norovirus were identified in .3 and %8.7 respectively. A viral etiology was mainly observed in the 1-5 year old age group. Norovirus was more frequent in younger age groups. Rotavirus infection was more common in January, whereas Adenovirus and Nörovirus were more common in December and January. Viral gastroenteritis cases had moderate clincal severity score, but there was no statistically significant difference between above mentioned different viral etiolgic groups in terms of disease severity. However, adenovirus those with diarrhea had a higher disease severity score. Rotavirus vaccination rate was less than five years old among children in our study group.\nConclusions: This is the first study in Turkey demonstrating the role of norovirus in acute gastroenteritis in children from Turkey. Adenovirus has been found as the second most frequent cause of acute gastroenteritis in our study group after rotavirus. More studies regarding the incidence and clinical course of norovirus in Turkey are necessary. A rapid test for the diagnosis of norovirus, which is a major cause of acute gastroenteritis, should be devoloped. Multicentre databases and surveillance studies for acute gastroenteritis etiology should be established. It is also important that rotavirus vaccination should be included in national immunization programme for preventing the disease among children.

Neural networks have a wide range of application for systems with unpredictable dynamics, this by training according to the study process. In this paper that given an alternative for implementing neurocontrol given, which is to control the temperature in a batch reactor, presents parallel reactions, with an unwanted product directly dependent on the temperature rise. To carry out the control was established model of NARMAX type neural network with 4 hidden layers architecture, with one input layer and by an output layer, each hidden layer has 19 neurons, used in training the neural network type is accelerated Levenberg-Marquardt, which minimizes the error and does not propagate, avoiding in the over-learning network. The control response of the neural network is compared with the response of control conventional quasi GMC, which shows that the neural network provides a better response from control GMC, a robust analysis is also performed to control response, introduce disturbances at system, showing that the neural networks control provides outstanding response with respect to GMC.

At present time, most of the process industries are in the position to monitor and control many different processes in their manufacturing process at the same instant of time. Global monitoring and controlling of all the process at a same time of instance will lead to increase the process productivity and plant safety. Distributed control and centralized monitoring are the key-factors to ensure the plant safety. This paper aims to enhance the flexibility in controlling and monitoring of industrial pressure process by configuring and developing a HMI using DCS with SCADA. The field output of industrial pressure process are fetched and the parameters have been sent to the Field Control Station (FCS) where the controlling is distributed and monitoring is centralized. Hence the optimized control of different industrial process has been achieved.

The concomitant occurrence of bronchial carcinoid tumor and pulmonary tuberculosis in the same lung is very rare. We describe a case of a 56 year old lady who presented with chest pain, breathing difficulty and cough. Chest radiograph showed right sided volume loss with shift of trachea and mediastinum to the same side. Considering possibility of endobronchial obstruction and secondary lung collapse, she was subjected to fibreoptic bronchoscopy which showed an endobronchial mass occluding right main stem bronchus just below carina from which biopsy was taken. Histopathology of biopsy showed caseating granulomatous inflammation which was acid fast positive. She was treated with anti TB medicines (ATT). Since she had only partial radiological clearance and continued to have symptoms even after finishing ATT, she was subjected for repeat bronchoscopy. As it was again showing the endobronchial growth, bronchial biopsy was repeated. The repeat biopsy came as well differentiated neuroendocrine tumor- carcinoid. She was subjected to surgical resection for the same. This case highlights that two different pathological processes can co – exist in the same patient.

The aim of this paper is to present a modification of the visualization process of finding the roots of a given complex polynomial. In this paper S-iteration scheme is used instead of standared Picard iteration. The word “polynomiography” coined by Kalantari for that visualisation process. The images obtained are called polynomiographs. Polynomiographs have importance for both the art and science aspects By using S-iteration scheme we obtain quite new nicely looking polynomiographs that are different from standared Picard iteration. Presented examples show that we obtain very interesting patterns for complex polynomial equations, permutation and doubly stochastic matrices. We believe that the results of this paper enrich the functionality of the existing\npolynomiography software.

Background: Human T-Lymphotropic Virus type is the etiologic agent of two distinct human diseases, adult T-cell leukemia or lymphoma and a chronic, progressive demyelinating disorder. HTLV-II is associated with HAM (HTLV associated myelopathy), but is not known to cause leukemia or lymphoma. One of the major routes of HTLV transmission is parenteral transmission. The aim of this work was to investigate the seroprevalence of HTLV-I/II among blood donors in Jahrom province. Methods: This cross sectional study was carried out on 530 blood donors from 2013-2014. All samples tested for HTLV (I or II) specific antibody by ELISA method and positive samples were confirmed by nested-PCR method. Result: Of all 530 samples, 18 (3.4%) samples were positive for HTLV (I or II) specific antibody, Of 18 positive for HTLV (I or II) specific antibody just 1 of them, was confirmed with Nested-PCR for HTLV-I, which was a blood donor. There was not any HTLV-II positivity (nested-PCR) in the blood donors. Conclusion: The results of this study show that frequency of HTLV-I/II in Jahrom is lower than other city of IRAN. Further studies with larger samples are recommended to determine the prevalence of these viruses in other community.

Aging is a natural phenomen on that effects on different systems of our body. This process is not due to diseases and accidents. Activity of Daily Living (ADL) is important for elderly persons. The objective of this study was the effect of aerobic exercise on improvement of motor function in healthy elderly, after eight weeks of regular participation in walking. The 36 elderly female with age above 60 years old participated in this study. 18 elderly female in exercise group with mean age of 66.32 and 18 elderly female in control group with mean age of 67.22. The exercise group participated in aerobic exercise program for eight weeks. Functional 30-second chair stand test and 10-meter walk test were conducted to evaluate motor function. The Independent T-test and paired sample T-test was used to compare the differences between the pre and post-test in both groups. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS statistical software version 19.\nResults showed significant difference in the assessed data of the exercise groups in the posttest level in comparison with the pretest level. Therefore, walking is appropriate for improve of motor function in elderly female.

The purpose of this project is to prevent the collision between the humans and the cars in roads by effectively monitoring the conditions thereby, having the automated brakes and also atomising the suspension setup for the prevention from any obstacles. This is an emerging technology that uses both the IR & Thermal imagery cameras (sensors) linked with the braking and the suspension setup with the help of an micro controller. Though auto braking systems are been developed they are not fully effective since they are not completely linked with suspension setup. Hence height adjustable air suspension is used here in link with the automated braking setup with the collective data obtained from the sensors and processed through a micro controller.

This research looks into extraction of parameters for deciding drinking by comparing voice characteristics before and after drinking using voice analysis. The first thing it considers is that input sign is entered after overloading. If drinking is tested using voice under overloading condition there must occur some error. Therefore, it should be determined by using method that is not affected by overloading. For the method used before effective frames using voice energy before and after drinking were extracted and drinking possibility was identified by using deviation from the distance of next position. In terms of vocal energy its value changes greatly when overloaded but general ratio largely stays the same. Therefore, after applying overloading sign to the existing method by using this similar result with normal input sign was obtained.

The aim of this study was to compare the relationship between the subjective perception of exercise intensity and the physiological response by elite endurance athletes and the non-athlete population. \nThe research sample consisted of elite-level short triathlon athletes from the Czech Republic (n = 23; 14 men and 9 women) and non-athletes who were students (n = 15; 9 men and 6 women). The data were collected according to a graded exercise test using a bicycle ergometer. At the end of each section, a blood sample was collected from the fingertip of an upper extremity for blood lactate level analysis, and the current HR was measured. To assess the subjective perception of objective exercise intensity, the participants were asked to evaluate the exercise intensity at the end of each section using the Borg RPE scale (rated from 6 to 20). \nThe curve estimation method was used to evaluate the relationship between subjective and objective fatigue in both groups. The model of the subjective perception of fatigue does not lend itself to objectivisation. Using a cubic model, we detected a significant association between heart rate and the Borg Scale of Fatigue score in the non-athlete group (69%) but not in the athlete group (40%). Therefore, for non-athletes, the Borg Scale may be used as a tool for the objectivisation of physical loading as evaluated by heart rate; however, this method does not apply to elite endurance athletes. For elite endurance athletes, the most predictive parameter is the blood lactate level. Here, the cubic model also accounted for the highest percentage of the variance (65%). For the non-athlete population, the cubic model (75%) and the exponential model (78%) accounted for higher percentages of the total variance.

There is an increasing attention towards the relationship between oxidative stress and epilepsy. The effect of antiepileptic drugs on oxidant status is of major interest. Antiepileptic drugs can increase levels of free radicals, which consequently might lead to seizures. Carbamazepine (CBZ) is an antiepileptic drug that commonly used in childhood and adolescence. Therefore we aimed to investigate the effects of CBZ on total antioxidant status, total oxidant stress, and oxidative stress index. The study included 40 epileptic patients and 31 healthy children between 4 and 12 years of age. Serum CBZ level, total antioxidant capacity and total oxidant status were measured. Oxidative stress index was also calculated both in control and patients. In the epileptic group, decreased levels of total antioxidant capacity, increased total oxidative stress and oxidative stress index levels were found. Positive correlation between plasma CBZ levels and total oxidant status was observed. Antioxidant action could not be playing any role in antiepileptic effect of CBZ. Furthermore increased oxidative stress induced by CBZ could be the cause of CBZ-induced seizures. Therefore combining CBZ with antioxidants could be beneficial.
